if you start using royal purple on a motor that has never been run with synthetic or any kind of better motor oil/filter then i suggest you dont try royal purple.

            1. it doesnt improve engine performance.
            2. it will strip every piece of shit and gunk off your internals and drop it into your oil pan
            3. its over priced
            4. use Pennzoil 5w30 now then 10w30 in the summer

over priced and a waist.. rotella t5 all day in my turbo cars, which is diesel oil as stated before has zinc additives which helps against wear, other then that for n/a normal driving castrol gtx both 10 30w

I think Royal Purple is deff worth the money in a freshly built motor like out of the machine shop fresh. But if your putting it in a motor that hasn't ever been built internally then it can cause somewhere that had deposits or buildup from old oil, (rod bearings, rings, valves, etc.) To thin out and could develop a rod knock or leaky valves. There is all different kinds of oil you just need to do research and decide which is most suitable for the setup you are running. I personally always use Mobil 1 Synthetic and it hasn't let me down yet (knock on wood lol).
