    I got a dig gauge was woundrin what is it supose to say -6 -7 when it idels and why do i hear my turbo not my bov

      your boost gauge will read vacuum at idle because there is no pressure or boost to move the gauge... as to why you cannot hear your blow off valve and you can hear your turbo. I'm not sure what that means lol.

        your initial post is awful but what your boost gauge needs to read is 14-20 vac.

          If you don't hear the "PSSHHH" sound when you release the accelerator but you hear the air pressure coming out from the turbo like "Woshjshjshjsh" this means your BOV is not opening and this is not good for your turbo blades.

          1- Make sure the BOV has only one vacuum line coming from the intake manifold after the throttle body. You can share this vacuum with something else like in example the boost gauge but install this one alone until you fix the problem then you can mix it.

          2- Try loosing the spring pressure in the BOV, maybe is too tight if you are running little PSI's like in example 15 or less. But this is tricky because a BOV can be so tight that it could be too tight for 30 PSI's.

          3- If you cannot graduate the BOV spring pressure then remove the BOV and put pressure with your thumb to see if you can open the BOV. If you cannot open it that means it's stuck or too tight.

          You should be able to open the BOV with very little force. The only reason you want a tight BOV is because you running a lot of PSI's plus you are looking for a high pitch noise when the BOV opens.

          If you cannot adjust the BOV spring and you cannot open the BOV with your fingers no matter how much pressure you put then you need to replace the BOV.

          BOV Spring and pitch noise:
          Loose spring = No "PSSH" noise.
          Loose spring = Boost leak.
          Tight spring = No "PSSH" noise if not enough boost pressure.
          Tight spring = Boost surge back to the turbo if not enough boost pressure plus no "PSSH" noise.
