  • someone please help!

    ok so my del sol has a d16z6 in it, i recently installed a turbo kit on it which consists of
    t28 turbo from an sr20det
    log manifold
    front mount
    greddy type-s
    stock injectors
    vafc

    now heres the thing, i put a step colder ngk plugs in it as well and did the normal tune up to it before running it, but when i floor it and it goes to about 4.5-5k rpms it backfires and just loses all power, even when i rev it up and dump the clutch it will do this, i messed around with the timing and cant seem to figure out what is going on, the car is set to run at about 7psi and my brother had the same setup on his del sol and it went fine.....any input?

    and just to add if i keep it under those rpm's and drive it normal, its fine, spools up ok no backfiring/missfiring, only when more than half throttle and higher rpms

      Well befor u blow ur car up get bigger injectors 450's should be good

        i had 450's on it before and it runs toooooooo rich, i tried leaning it out with the vafc as much as 50% to all rpms and i cant even get the fuckin thing to idle the 450's

          Well vafc isnt the best tune devise i would get in contact with a shop/tunner an explan them the problem there prob going to want to look at the car cuz there could be a few problems with it..sounds like it needs a proper tune..

                yea i heard vafc is somewhat garbage, but still my brother had noooo tuning at all on stock injectors at the highest of 12psi and ran good, i dont understand why its cuttin out so hard

                  pimp what wires u talkin about? on the vafc? i think so i went over it twice and seemed ok, should i uninstall it and see if it helps?

                      well u caint just put injectors because u ganna get fuil cut and your car needs to be tune

                            boost leak? bad map sensor? needs a tune? timing isn't off a tooth on the belt, right? dizzy is good?
