  • Need help with power door locks

I have a 99 honda civic ex that i bought recently and I am trying to get power door locks to work. Problem is doors seem as if they were replaced by 97-98 civic doors due to the way the actualator is set up. My question is there a way I can fix it and get them to work or would i need to change doors completely? Any help would be good.

P.s. It keeps blowing fuse #51 under the hood when the door lock button is pressed

the locks and ACTUATOR are the same...if you keep blowing fuses ,then you have a wiring issue...

So should I just change wires that go into the door? And I heard rhe locks were diff cause the 99 were when they put them on the kick panel.

99-00 has the door lock relay(box) around the drivers kick panel. 96-00 has the door lock relay(box) inside the drivers door. Try swapping your drivers door harness and relay to the 99-00 parts. Usually if it's blowing fuses it's because a wire is grounding out (touching metal) or the polarity(+/-) might be wrong due to the incorrect wiring
