is the motor in or out the car, well every time i change the timing belt i change the belt, pump and tensioner!

u gotta undo the tensioner all the way number one, and for 2, once u got everything on timing correctly, and have the belt on without moving the timing gears, it shouldnt be really tight on either side, one side might have more tension, but thats when you tighten the tensioner a tad bit and spin the crank pully a few times , and the belt should adjust itself better to have tension on both sides, then you adjust the tensioner a bit more. on my single same thing happined. so i poped the belt off and put it back on but pulled it tight and took out the slack on the left side- header side- and adjusted the tenioner again and i was good. but thinking about it game203 is right ths would work too
