    how do u check to see that a block is good .. obviously look at the cylinder walls nd c if the crank goes in or out rite ?? but ne other ways

    maybe try to turn the motor and listen for any wierd ass noises??
    if its running do a comprssion test and drive it

      Machine shop charges like 50buckd n they will check it all for u

        just check the cyliner walls, turn the crank pulley and listen for any weird noises like injen said. And if you wanna get into pull the oil pan off make sure no metal shovings or anything.

          well if your planning on getting it off CL or B20 plan on rebuilding it...
          not tryna be negative but id just get a basic bttom end and start from scratch
          Honda sucks. Over priced junk.

            x1000000000 and buy a head and bring it to the machine shop and make sure its at least good and have them pressure wash it and test it out. and then get it in and start building

              dont' really have time 4 the machine shop .. i'ma do all those things nd most of all take the guys word i guess .. if ne thing isn't rite trust u all will know
