like the title says:
Car: 2000 Honda Civic Dx w/Power Steering
Swap: Power to Manual steering
Product: A1 Cardone Steering Rack Steering Rack
here's the link http://www.amazingsavingsautoparts.c...tem&id=5919599
Issue: U-Joint
So I decided to swap my power steering rack on my hatch because I was having a steering issue and it wasn't my outer tie rods (already changed). So I bought a manual steering rack off of Autopartswarehouse.com
I got the rack in and was going to put the U-Joint on and found out that the Pinion input shaft on the rack was thinner than the one on the rack off my hatch. I tightened the Joint as tight as it can go and it was still a little loose so I cant turn the steering wheel with it turning the wheels.
Here's my question. Is there a difference between U-Joints from a power steering rack compared to a manual steering rack? Can I buy a different U-Joint to make it work? Do I have to swap my sub-frame also?
