  • Brake help 02 rsx type s

Ok so I've gone ahead and swapped the motor with an a3. I used everything I possibly could off the old motor. Now as usual I had some issues but the problem with the brakes is now my number 1 issue. So when I go to stop the pedal is ridiculously stiff. The brakes stop but very long and slowly. Now it would lead me to believe the booster isn't connected but sure enough the vacuum line is connected leads right up to manifold and connects for vacuum. Now what's odd is that I had brakes before the swap.... So I went and stripped the brakes down re lubed the slides, new rotors. Still nothing. But the weirdest thing happens when I'm driving and ill get a good pedal if I don't use them for a bit but then it goes right back to a rock. I'm going to try and flush the system to see if maybe there might be a blockage. Any other insight would be greatly apprdciated.

On the vaccum line for the booster should have a pass thru valve where it will let air in but not out make sure u have that check valve goin in the right direction

Please explain a little further. Is the valve closer to the manifold or booster

I've looked all down the line. Doesn't seem to be any valve off the line

Now how would I go abouts finding the leak. Wouldn't it just be the one hose that would be leaking?

get a spray bottle with soapy water and spray all hoses while the car is running. it should start bubbling where ever there is a leak.

Idk how that even slipped my mind. But I feel like I'd here a hissing no matter what.
