So I bought this civic off a jack ass who did a hack job on alot of the car for 800 bucks no seats, wheels, and missing a bunch of little things. Paint is a hack job as well. Car is now Black,but was red....he didn't even paint the inside of the gas thing where the cap is . But running and not to much rust.
Now with left over money I got from my accident I wanted to buy another swap, sticking to allmotor for the time being. My first thought was a built b20v and goal wise 220whp n/a beast, but then a friend of mine had a kid and never got to finish his project, so he sold the shell. I made a offer and 2days later I have a jdm h22a with type s pistons, euro r intake mani with brand new hasport axels(still in box) GS-R Transmission.(Hydro).
So My questions
1. Since I do plan on going H2b as my route for the transmission, I was reading that it makes the hood not sit flush,but certain mounts help?Gen 2 Haspot mounts?
2. Since I'm going h2b, I use b series shift linkage ?Can I use hyrdo b trannys ?(Don't want to cut a bigger hole for the shifter or switch to cable)
3. With euro r intake mani and gen 2 mounts and a h2b will my hood close fully?
4. Any shaving/cutting in the bay?
5. got pics of how the h22 sits on a 5th gen civic ?
Please don't tell to do research, because I have and still am, I'm not a punk kid dreaming of doing this, fact is i am. I'm asking these questions because everywhere I look the answers are different.
