i think you overbore if u had a piston failer or replace piston more than once

Its always best to over bore to at least .020 over to ensure true cylinder roundness and to remove any scares or scraches that may be there, that could cause uneven ring seal,
Your best bet would be bore and hone .020 over get over sized pistons and you'll have the peace of mind that everything is good and you'll gain that lil bit of displacement...

You can't bore a h22 unless you sleeve it, they don't have iron sleeves like other hondas they have FRM sleeves like s2000 that can't be bored and honed by just any shop because it requires a diamond infused material to and speacial stones to cut the sleeves..
Are you rebuilding for more power or outta necessity?

They seem real good i think im a go that route thanks to all. But like kung fu panda said ots good to do a .20 oversize to make sure the cylinders are not out of round but the mahle ones only come in .10 over bore is that enough?

They dont need sleeving but if you research on them they have there issuses..
Honestly iv never personally built a h22 iv run stock blocks with all head work but never
Touch a block if your willing to invest in sleeving and all that you should really consider a g23 build they will produce the same if not more power and you'll be a 2.3 iron sleeve with all the money you'll save on not sleeving you can fully build the head you can make 250whp on a well built setup...
