Totalled RSX Type S

Sup everyone totalled my rsx into a telephone pole last night dodging a deer. The car starts and runs but the front end is smashed in a good 8 inches I think. The car has 164k miles on it as it sits, got a stock set of wheels with snows and a set of 17in kosei k1ts with brand new tires. Lots of skunk 2 goodies and what not. My question is do you think it would be worth it to buy it back and part it out? Or should I cut my losses and just grab a new car. Throw in your ideas or opinions please all comments welcome

Fucking deer. Must be attracted to rsx's. I hit one on the highway not to long ago. He only did minor damage to my bumper though. I got lucky

Ask insurance what they are going to charge to buy it back. They will deduct that amount off the "total loss" amount. If it's less than a couple grand, I'd buy it back and part it out. U got at least 2K worth of parts there. It comes down to whether or not you can get back the buy back cost in parts. Good luck

If you have the time and space, buy it back and part it out. Id buy the trunk and wing combo asap. Keep us posted on what you decide to do

Man that sucks. Glad your ok. If you part it out there's a few parts I could use.

Parts are ecu(if Manuel),starter and half shaft.

I saw this car today at a body shop. when picking up my friends civic he hit a tree avoiding a deer last night too. good luck with whatever you decide to do with it i was a nice car.

just had a similar situation happen to my 03 rsx...


Bought it back and parting it out...will make money on the car...if you got the room do it...really all depends on what insurance wants to pay out to you that will really drive your decision.
