famous "02" sensor problem

so im pretty new to the honda game and i am constently hearing about cars needing an o2 sensor, or the cel is on bcuz it needs an o2 sensor. im looking for some input on this... do hondas really have this common problem, or it is an excuse because the car is running rich or lean and is affecting the o2 sensor..any info helps thanks

I think for some people its just an excuse.. the other people I think its just neglect.. in the past 3 years ive personally replaced my o2 twice.. both times with used ones too

the common problem is people removing there cat with a test pipe which causes the cel light to come on. the o2 sensor has a life of 60,000 miles after that your gas mileage will be reduced.

if someone is selling a vehicle and the CEL light is on the excuse IS ALWAYS the o2 sensor and majority of the time its not lol but they do go bad just an excuse if the CEL is on so people dont think its a big deal
