Like the others said, u ain't gonna really go far in life with automotive. Dnt even think bout Porter n Chester there a ripoff. 25k a year for just a CERTIFICATE not a degree. Medical field n law inforcement is.where its at man. And IF you really wanna get into Automotive then CT is not a place to study for it. Go to WyoTech if anything. That's like the #1 school. But its true automotive is better as a hobby not a career. Trust I was goin thru the same thoughts as you before. Switched my mindset into looking for an actual career where the benefits are great. And if I get into what I'm planning on then I can retire by mid 40's

Listen to everyone on this thread bro, they all put out good info because we've all been there. Automotive schools are nothing like TV, u end up trying to pay off student loans with a lube tech job at sears auto or something. Half of the info put out in those schools aren't retained because everyone's young and bullshits in class or is too busy trying to hook up their honda versus learning the theory of electricy or some shit. Keep automotive as a hobby. Do what I did, join the military and let them pay ur way through college for free towards a degree that matters. Now instead of bustin knuckles all day, I chill behind a desk and computer and get paid double.

Wow. Don't waste your time with a medical field unless it is nursing or some type of assistant, the 13 years of school and training is not worth it and the bills you rack up are more than you'll ever be able to pay off, the $150k a year sounds nice until you do not get accepted to med school. Look at 4 year degrees then go to grad school if you want higher education. Finance is a good idea always but do not ever go for a finance degree. Finance degrees get you finance jobs, accounting degrees get you accounting jobs, finance jobs and tax preparation jobs. If you opt for the accounting route get your CPA. School for cars can be worth it if you can find a decent paying job but they're mostly taken. You could go somewhere for an engineering program of some sort, my dad has a handful of engineers that work for him all under 26 years old they make over $75,000 a year. good luck with your choice, make sure you have an idea what you want to do, go get an associate degree from a two year community college then transfer to the school of your choice, you save money just get in contact with both schools before you finalize everything and make sure your credits will transfer and find the limits. Also I highly recommend taking 1 summer class each year, it damn near turns your four year degree into 3 years.Honda sucks. Over priced junk.
