For all you people signing into ctvtec, but have never used a forum before, this is for you to learn and understand some of the things said. This will be continuously updated.
Bump: This is the most common one used. When you make a new "thread", it is at the top of the page. As other new "threads" are made and new "posts" are made in existing threads, this brings theirs to the top of the page and knocks yours down further. Eventualy your "thread" will get so many pages back people wont even look at it any more. So what yourself, or other members will do is simply write "bump" in your thread and the new post will bump it to the top of the first page again!
(100 bumps a day are not needed. 1 or 2 a day is plenty.)
TTT: Is the same thing as a "bump" but instead of saying bump your saying "To the top"
Sticky: When you see "Sticky" before a thread that means it is something with importance and is always "stuck" up on the top and dosen't move down. So there is NO NEED to bump these as they are already on top.
SMH: When you see this one you did something wrong lol. It stands for "Shaking my head"
PM: Stands for "private message". Your "pm" box is located at the top right hand corner of the screen.
F/S: Stands for "For sale"
WTB: Stands for "Want to buy"
F/T: Stands for "For trade"
T/W: Stands for "Testing Waters" (Trying to see what some one will offer you for what you have)
FTW: For The Win
FTL: For The Lose
IBTL: In Before The Lock
/thread: End thread
LOL: Laugh Out Loud
FBGM: Fcuk Bitches Get Money
JDM - Japanese Domestic Market
USDM - United States Domestic Market
EDM - European Domestic Market
UKDM - United Kingdom Domestic Market
OEM - Original Equipment Manufacturer
glwys- stands for "good luck with your sale"
I had a real nice description of what a forum, thread, and post are but my internet went out and it got deleted so if someone wants to come up with a very good description for that ill add it.
Also theres tons of things i missed, any members if you would like to contribute post in this thread one you would like to see up there and if appropriate we'll add it. Mods/Admin if you have one i missed just edit it in.
Thank you for tuning into CTvTEC for noobs!
