  • Wrong gas! Now problems.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to completely flush the fuel from a diesel truck? For example someone filled up a diesel truck with 3 gallons of regular gasoline and the regular gas was mixed with 1 gallon of diesel in the tank and it already reached the motor.. Anyone know how much ford will charge to flush that whole shit out and what will they be replacing? Let me know.

it should run......really shitty. but it should run .some idiot i know did that with a powerstroke...except he filled it up halfway....3 gallons isnt a lot, i wouldnt worry about it too much....

but if you really want, you can siphon it out like you would any other gas.....

take out that gas tank and drain it then fill it back up with some diesel and then let it run until the unleaded gas burns out the motor

like he said above. i kno someone who did that with a eg hatch ls. But did a full tank of deisel. And the car wouldnt run. Ended up dropping the tanking. dumping it. Then un-doing the fuel filter bolt to drain it out the lines. filled it up with 93 and it ran fine after a few minute of running.

how long was the regular gas in there before you found out because regular gas does not mix with diesel gas it will float on top because its thinner leaving the diesel at the bottom like putting oil in water .

you can get a hand pump at autozone or advance and pump the gasoline out... not that hard at all.. or you can do it old school and get a few feet of hose ((garden hose works) or a clear hose from home depot so you can see the gas vs diesel) and insert it into the tank and suck on it till gas/diesel comes out... make sure you have a big enough container to put all that gas... good luck
