I just swapped over a new single into my coupe.When i hit vtec the car sputters and stop accelerating. it happens at 5800 rpm. Is this a bad vtec solenoid or a bad crank sensor.

thats is exactly what happened to me i changed everything vtec solenoid to gaskets and come to find out it was the ecu try using another oneknuckk.

The vtec pressure clip from the harness , prolly has a short , check it out cause my coupe used to do that around 5200 , figurin out the wire came out from the pressure clip98Ex DD EJ8 ROADRUNNER
