  • Engine Harness

I got a '00 hatch and I'm putting a EX 00' engine harness into it which I heard is better than the stock harness I had running for the LSV. What changes need to be made to the harness to keep it OBD2 but work with the LSV just fine? I heard I might have to extend the O2 sensor cables and do a 3 to 2 for the TPS I think? I just need some clearance on all this before I start and mess it all up.

Oh also the harness came from Canada and it's a manual gearbox harness.. supposedly.. I did notice the injector side has an additional 5th plug that my other didn't have.. and it's in the middle.

The distributor plugs needs to be changed or you need an adapter for it.

What ecu and injectors do you plan to use?

What year is the ls block?

I did the distributor plug already and think I got it right.. car started lol. But I wasn't sure about the black and yellow cable since everyone said to leave it out but the car wouldn't start without it so I connected it to the thinner cable from the plug to the thicker from the harness.

ECU is a Hondata S200 but getting a P73 shipped from home soon so I'ma try that. Also the injectors are the ones that came with the GSR head.

As far as the LS block.. I think it's a 97. Bought it off one of the workers from ZeroLift.com and he didn't give me much info on the years :/... at all.

the black/yellow wire in the distributor plug is a power wire for the coil,,if not hooked up no start...

reason i asked about the year of the block is for the crank sensor..if it has on use it,the plug will need to be changed from 3 wire to 2 wire...if you dont have a crank sensor then you can do the bypass trick...

as long as the injectors are ond2 are good to go on them, plug and play..

if the p73 ecu is obd2b then its plug and play...if not then you will need an ecu step down harness...

the iacv plug might need to be changed from a 3 wire to 2 wire,if you have a 3 wire plug for the iacv on your harness...

Yea the I got it to start but the idle was high. The 2 wire iacv is the blue and black cable right? There's one plug like that. The crank sensor I gotta check for and the injector all plugged in just fine besides that 5th that connected to the other 4 that's in the middle; that one of course isn't plugged in and has a different type of plug compared to the other 4.. must be something the Canadian harnesses comes with. Ima look up what the crank sensor wire colors are to see what I can do about that.
