  • ls/vtec compression test issues

okay so i put my head and block together and tried to do a compression test by hand turning it and can only get the gauge up to 60 psi, only the head and block are mounted, the timing belt isnt hooked up and i am turning it over by hand

You should really have the belt on, it is what controls the opening and closing of the valves.. without that you won't even come close to getting a proper compression reading.
