I ran my z6 in my moms car for 6 months no cel with a po6 non v ecu .....how ask? a non v ecu doesn't kno the engine is vtec

I had a ex coupe swapped with a non v swap used vtec ecu and had cel on

Because u had a vtec ecu that was running non v. If u have a non vtec ecu then it won't be looking for vtec.
