Helppp thinking my dizzy died

Need a sohc 96-00 sohc dizzy...car died on me and is my daily...checked everything and its getting fuel pressure and injectors are spraying evenly but just cranks n cranks and intake burps at me and only code it throws is a vtec malfunction...it has a new fuel pump cap rotor plugs wires it started as an intermittent problem and had extended cranking once car cooled down but always fired up now it doesn't even fire right before it died it was bogging on the highway and rpm gage was bouncing all over the place

Do u need a 96-98 or 99-00...I have a 96-98 if anything

My harness i a 98 the engine i think is a 99 but its a retarded d15b dual tage vtec i that matters
