I've been driving vw all my life and been around them long enough..Depending on where you live you might score 1 for $1500 that is good condition..

But here in mass for $1500 you can find 1 with some rust/rot and needing minor work.

Yo, My cousin has a Red MK3 golf with a VR6 swap in it. Swap has like 100K, mint. He wants like 2 G's. Not a lot considering he has over $3500 in it and hasn't gotten much use out of it. He got an A4 and stopped working on it. He would rather have the extra cash for the Audi.
