Timing might never be on point unless u put a aftermarket adjustable cam gear. The y7/8 frankeinsteins are a pain in the ass from what I have heard/read online.u might be able to fix the timing issue with a y7 cam gear on the y8 head or just put a y7 head back on that y7 block.
