I have a set of Dunlop Direzza Z1 *Specs that I pulled off my car this morning. There is definitely some life left in them. These tires are $198 a piece from TireRack, and a full set is $850 with tax exluding shipping.
I bought these tires in the Fall, they've got about 7000 miles on them, and about 120 autocross runs.
These will fit on 17x8 inch wheels (and larger) with no issues, and they will clear the fenders on 2011+ WRX's and STI's with no fender rolling, no rubbing, no issues whatsoever.
These tires are big, they have loads of dry grip, and are probably the second best summer tire you can buy for the rain.
I did pick up a very narrow wood screw yesterday, it didn't cause any significant damage to the tire, and it's plugged. The screw was significantly narrower than the plug. Nothing to worry about in my opinion.
Aside from the tire I plugged this morning, there have not been any other punctures or damage in any way to the tires.
I'm letting these go cheap, so by them before I change my mind and keep them as spares.
