check the tranny for the VIN tag and post it because the rules state it, you do have other valuables for swap like harness and what not so g/l with that

Im not here to argue back and forth. I just hate seeing theifs try to sell shit. Yea sure your not thief. No one is when you ask em. You have like 12 post and the first include selling a stolen motor. I'd hate to see someone who actually works for their money buy this and get their car crushed. Go sell it on the street, who cares. But im not just gonna sit back and watch someone sell a motor with no vins and not warn people that it's considered stolen to autocrime.

i owe all of you an apology. when i bought this motor i wasn't aware that a vin tag is supposed to be on the block. i double checked under my hood and saw what you were talking about. i cleaned it off and low and behold it's my vin. i can assure you i DID NOT steal this motor. it was purchased with cash from some kid in meriden via a craigslist ad.

in the mean time this motor is not for sale. i'm deleting the original post and looking into this further.

on a side note, i need to know what to do now. i'd like to confirm if this motor is or isn't stolen. the vin tag missing is an obvious indicator of a stolen motor, and unfortunately for me i'd be out $2000. i'm 100% legit. the person i bought it from may not be. i do have morals and definitely am not happy about the engine i have right now. i know it's been more than a year since i purchased this, but would calling auto crime or whatever it is help me determine if this motor is in fact stolen or if it's just missing a vin tag? can something be done via the serial number under the engine code? if this turns out to be stolen, then i'm not really a happy camper. at that point i assume the engine would be gone, i'd be in some kind of trouble, and i'd be out a lot of money. i promise you i'm no thief, just uneducated when it comes to buying an engine from a private seller.

does the tranny that came with the swap have a tag? and you still have other goodies so you can sell the harness sensors and whatever else you have

PM me the vin off the trans. Also you can sell the head, harness, axles, mid shaft, internals, and make some money back but you won't get too much.

update: this is mainly directed towards ls/vtec but i dont want to keep any info from anyone. im at the garage right now posting this from my phone. i cant attach pictures with my phone but the tranny does have a vin tag. im gonna stick around and take more pics of everything. are there any other markings i should keep in mind to determine if the tranny and the block are legit? something that could some how link the two together? thanks.

idc what the bad seller shit says i been selling an building honda for alot longer then 90% of this site and i been on here since day one. and talk to all the mods and admin weekly . and i have sold more parts then you have even looked at and every part i sold on the 32 other sits i am on have never had a issues. the few parts i do post here the shit bag cant seem to figure out how to use. you can come up this way any day and talk to about 30 people that will all tell you that the turbo and the hed i sold were both workin mint and the way i sold them since the 30+ people then i del with up here are involved in all my cars and see it all first hand i dont need to go ack and forth with you or any one on here be honestly i dont car what they said. or think that is the number one reason i sell mainly on other sites because the people i know and deal with and sell to on there buy knowing waht they ar ebuying and never have an issues with the price or parts. that not counting ebay rateing.
