  • 1998 Subaru Legacy GT Wagon 1900obo

1998 Subaru Legacy GT wagon 5 Speed $1900.00 obo.
    2.2 swapped.

well the time has come to move on to another subaru.. i found a 5 speed forester s and decided to move on from the best winter cars ive ever owned...

for sale 1998 subaru legacy GT wagon 5 speed.. from what i was told this was a rare option to get a gt wagon in a stick. i bought the car over 5 years ago with a blown motor. after a lng search for the 2.5 dohc i swapped in a 2.2 sohc

    The good :
    -clean title
    -2.2 swap with 135k miles
-head gaskets were done at 87k miles
-Tires have about 50% tread life left
    -ICE COLD A/C
-Recent Tuneup (plugs, wires, coil, air filter, fuel filter) done 15k miles ago
-NEW clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder done 15k miles ago
-NEW timing belt, water pump , thermostat done 15k miles ago
-ALL MOBIL 1 Fluids (engine, transmission and rear end)
-NEW Fuel Pump 6k miles ago
-Lowered on WRX STRUTS and 2in WRX LOWERING springs (which almost a 3in drop on the legacy )
-rolled fenders (so u can still run the stock sized tires)
    -ITS A GT WAGON...lol
    - 4.11 final drive (gt/rs gearing, so even with the 2.2 it still pulls nice)
-pioneer head Unit with AUX jack.
    -premium subaru sound system

    The Bad:
    -the body has 287k
-has one baseball size rust on the passenger rear quarter (was a lot smaller but the fender roll hurt the rust spot)
-needs a steering rack (the rack leaks and is a lil worn, installed new inner and outer tierods but rack has some play)
-shifter bushings are worn (usual high mileage subaru issue)
    -some minor dings and dents

the car has only a few issues. if i didnt find the Forester S in a 5 speed i was going to replace the rack and shifter bushing with wrx/sti parts, with a lil love this car would be perfect.
