  • 2006 Acura RSX F/S

    Asking $5000, firm.

    CLEAN TITLE
    131500 MILES

I no longer have a use for the car as I bought a new one.

    The good:
    - I've owned the car since 30K. Performed full synthetic oil changes every ~7k
    - Automatic Transmission was just recently serviced. Drain and fill by a Honda dealer.
    - Brand new rear brake pads and rotors. Front pads and rotors are in decent shape. They do not need to be immediately done.
    - Car is wired for a amp/subwoofer setup in the hatch.
    - Car has a VIPER remote start installed that works great. Super convenient in the winter.
    - Aftermarket wheels. Tires have a decent amount of tread life left.
    - Spark plugs were done at approximately 80k.
    - Brand new air filters (cabin and engine)
    - The front end is nearly all brand new from someone backing into it. Brand new headlights look great.
    - Windows are tinted to the legal limit in the front, slightly darker in the back. They look great.

    The "bad":
    - There is a small dent on the hatch -someone backed into it and left. I do believe that the appearance of the dent can be improved with minor work.
    - There is a slow water leak that pools in the hatch where the donut is kept. I have replaced the tail light gaskets which has slowed the leak but I believe there is another one elsewhere. This should not be an issue to fix, likely a clogged drain, but I would simply like to sell the car instead of investing a Saturday afternoon into fixing it as I do not drive it anymore.

    Location: Waterbury CT
    Asking Price: $5000
Willing to accept trades involving BMWs only.

$6k for an automatic rsx with a giant dent that has been hit twice? Not in a million years on this site.

The trunk really isnt a big deal...price out one from a salvage yard and deduct it from the price-that simple. The water leak could be something as stupid as a bad molding, also not a big deal. Hes asking a couple hundred less than KBB value in good condition. Hes not firm on he price so i dont get why people are bashing this thread. The 05-06 RSX models hold their value pretty good. I looked into an automatic one for my girl and they were all around this price range. I understand the car car got bumped a couple times but its still a good looking car with a clean title. Give the guy a break. And for a "junior member", he followed all the forum rules and posted a legit thread with good decriptions and pics. No need for negativity in here. Good luck with the sale bro

Thank you. The trunk is not a big deal. In fact, even if you didn't want to buy a new hatch you could probably pop the dent out and it would look a bit better. As far as the water leak, also correct. Easy fix.

KBB value for the car is 5999 for fair condition, and as you mentioned the price is not firm.

I want the car gone as it's literally sitting in my driveway in my way. Hope to hear from someone with a reasonable offer. I understand this car will not be super popular on this site simply because it's an auto but I figured why not post it here anyway.

By no means do I think the car is a pos or junk. I do however think its overpriced for what it is and that he will have a hard time gettin what hes asking especially in here. Kinda like those people who want $8k for their bone stock em1 with 200,000 miles. Yeah sure its a decent car but that doesn't mean its worth what hes asking. If hes sells it for the asking price good for him theres an ass for every seat but why would I spend that on a rsx with a giant dent when hes pretty much at decent tsx money?
