  • 1999 Volvo V70R AWD Turbo

heyy guys im backkk. still no hondas. but well see what everybody thinks of this one..

i got a 1999 Volvo V70R wagon. AWD big turbo automatic. 208k. custom intake lowered on springs sitting on 18x8" pegs with almost new tires.
beige leather with suede inserts. heated fronts. folding rear seat lots of room. could use a good cleaning and detail inside and out. bodys in great shape.
now for the problem. ive talked to about 7 different techs from 4 diff volvo dealers. its hard to start and the ets light on the dash is on which means throttle body failure. very common problem with this body V70R.

some shit came up and i need to sell this. i wanted to make this my winter daily and do a little work to it but cant now.
im asking $2000 for the car bring your own wheels or $2500 with the 18" pegs on it. kbb it its worth over $5k.. still over $4k in fair condition.
text me 2036405081 i got lots more pics and a vid of it running.

Can u get the volvo codes? If you can get the exact code from valve and not a generic obd2 code u got a buyer... let me know. I say this because if the throttle. Body is dead I will need to buy another and that means between buying and programming it's like a grand. If it's rebuild able it's 500 to fix. Let me know. Thanks

i can give my dealer a call to see if theres any way i can figure out any other code.. all i have is one of those cheap scanners from autozone.
and even when i scanned it there was no actuall code for the tb.. the actual ets light on the dash is on. they told me ets is the tb.. the only actual codes i got were for the 02 sensors..
and i was also told if i could find either a part mayb on ebay or even a junk yard with the same part number and sticker colour it would bolt right up and work without any reprogramming. im not sure if thats true or not but thats wat one of the techs had told me they did. he didnt reprogram it so the light never turned off but the new throttle body he got went right in and worked..

The only issue with that is unless the junkyard can run it and I can determine it's ok, I'd be wasting money on another possible bad one. It's a 50/50 chance. The cleaning part can be tried but gaskets will be needed due to removal and that typically won't work unless it's caught during intermittent codes. I like the car but need to know what it is going to cost me including purchase price to have on the road. Is a nice car.

that i couldnt tell you i got the car and then lost my job which is why im forced to sell it..
all i kno about this thing is that the tb is shot and its stuck in limp mode. sometimes is a bit hard to start itll take a few tried to fire up but will i got a vid of it started and running where u can hear the intake as well. other than that theres nothin else wrong. i just had some guy say he was gonna come pick it up but just backed out so now i seriously need this thing gone.
i have it 2000 and 2500. i need it gone so $2000 with the wheels and who ever wants it can come take it but i need it gone by this weekend.
