Trading cars Question

Anyone no if you have to pay a fee or some sort . What else do you need to do when trading cars tell me everything from dmv to papers thanks appreciate, and also transfering plates

You don't really need to do anything different. Bring the paper work to the dmv and register the new car as if you bought it. Pick a decent price cus no matter what they gonna tax you on the book value of the car and not what you "paid".

U sign your title they sign their title and then u guys swap. I always ask for a bill of sale or have them sign a blank bill of sale that I can fill out later with all the info. Take your paperwork to DMV and pay for your reg maybe new plates depending on what your doing and be in your way. As mentioned before u can also fill out gift paperwork.

there is a form you fill out go on dmv web site and print it out so you dont have to pay tax when you do the deal

As far as I know, the tax free Gift Affidavit only works for transfer of owner from immediate family

^ that's true even if you get gift from a random person you still pay taxes it has to be like father to son and etc
