I have bought several older cars in RI and MA and registered them in CT. RI and MA do not issue titles for cars older than 10 years, period. This car simply will not be able to be sold with a title. CT should send you a new title in the mail 4-6 weeks after you register the car.

With that said, where in RI are you located, and what do you want for the car? I'm very interested.

Anything 10yrs or older does not get a title issued but u would have to have the owners registration. So if it's from RI,u would need to have the last registered owners registration and bill of sales and that's good enough to get it registered here in CT. I highly recommend running a history report to make sure that it's not salvage.I did a trade in the past for a bubble with RI registration and it ended up being salvage and I found out once I went to my local DMV. Lucky me that I knew the guy ,so I ended up getting my car back. Glwys.
