First off new to this site looking on getting some feed back on my turbo build on my ek coupe. Right now I have a jdm type r swap in it. Looking on putting on some more power. So I was thinking what will be a better set up? A lsv turbo (type r head) or a gsr block with type r head turbo? I will be building the block pistons sleeves port and polish the whole nine yards. This is my daily so looking to make around 300whp to 350whp. Which one of these would be worth building to achive my goal?

so if ur building the block what does it matter what block you use?? ive seen stock ls vtecs with b16 heads do 350 safe, daily driven... if thats all the power ur looking for i wouldnt waist money on sleeves, get a good sized name brand turbo nice size injectors and find a good tunerFollow me on instavtec @steaksauce

im currently running a poorman type r, (type r head on gsr block type r internals, jdm gsr pistons) roughly 10.1 compression on 10 lbs i drive daily. runs mint not a single problem put down decent power.
all you need to do is head studs rod bolts. maybe a decent headgasket for budget boost for 300 - 350. a kid from my town daily drove a 400 whp gsr for years without a single problem.

My boy made 302 at 11 psi bone stock jdm b16 with eBay 50 trim tuned by gato in nj and he daily drove it and beat on it everyday for 2 years until it cracked a sleeve 300-350 isn't hard to achieve especially with name brand parts and a strong motor you just need a good tuner look up gato tuning he drives the supertech Integra
