    going to build a ls block for boost. need advice for best or top pistons and rods for this. going all out on this so crank and all will be aftermarket. lmk ctv

              Depends on your goals. Sleeving should be one of the first things on the list. Also why ls block gsr is a better choice.

                8-8 is really low

                eagle big bolts at least, or manely rods

                stock crank

                10-1 or up compression and 84mm. Use a vtec block so it has a girdle.

                    u can do an ls, but they dont have girdle connecting the main caps on the crank. Golden eagle, full blown, earls, all sell girdles for the Ls's.

                    On my build its

                    84mm GSR
                    LS crank
                    10-1 CP pistons
                    Eagle rods with the bigger bolts.

                      daily driven about 450 and healthy

                        for 450, you can stay 81mm. You can even stay stock sleeve. If you are going to sleeve it though, than you might as well go 84mm.

                        And rpm will really decide if you need a girdle. What cams and head are you going to use?

                            some ctr/itr cams would have done perfect, but bisi cams always work out good.
