  • d16y7 trying to go turbo need help!

hey what's good ctv... i got a lil d16y7 in my eg and im tryin to boost it over the winter; so i have a nice lil set up for next summer.. my only problem is is that i'm new to all this and could use some help... i'm trying to achieve anywhere from 180-220 whp with the set up being complete... and i do have a budget... i'm not trying to spend an arm and a leg, but at the same time i'm trying to do stuff right; so this sett up will be reliable... Anyways i was just wondering what would be the best/good reliable parts to buy such as whhich pistons to go with, what turbo, what size injectors, should i get my head machined, headstuds, camshafts, all that stuff... please i need some good credible opinions... thanks ctv

vitara pistons, blox valve train and cam shaft, arp head stud/rod bolts, golden eagle rods, port and polish, balanced crank, race bearings, bigger injectors, and you should be set lol. just do more research on single cam builds. best if you use the d16z6 block and a y8 head. single cams can make BIG power dont be fooled by what people say. you just gotta do it right.

for those power goals u dont even have to do that much, i would say stick with a z6 block so ur not spinning bearings, go arp head stud kit and slap that mofo on ull make 180 easy
