new to the idea of boost plz help

ok so i'm thinkin about buying a turbo setup 4 my d15 jus a lil boost not much my friend had this on his d16 i think its a saab turbo nd it popped the wastegate at like 3000 rpm all the time now he said all u need is a boost controller to make it actually spool is that all... i know if i were to crank it up i would need a better fuel pump nd upgrade the motor internals but i'm jus lookin 4 it to b a lil quicker nd i know u need a tune to make it reliable but i hear u really don't need an intercooler or a blowoff valve ne help would b appreciated or if ne one is gettin rid off parts i could use lemme know thanks

i think for now i'm going to get out of the honda game for a little buy an a4 turbo all wheel drive. When i get extra money i'll buy a lil civic or something to ************ around with.
