my boy has a turboed ef and i was there when he boosted it and i know the driverside piping goes through the hole near the wiper resevoir and on the passenger side it has to go under near the tire inbetween the fender and wall

run backdoor i/c piping thats what i did,,its good for street setups too,,all out race you can run the longer pipes
          theres no replacment for boost:)

You can flip the housing on the turbo. Other that i don't see how the res will get in the way.

why would you want longer piping for "race"?

ok, on anything over 400 hp,,the longer i/c piping does not hurt because your always in the top end or your powerband,,but on a street setup the backdoor piping is shorter nd makes for a little quicker spool time..

Shorter will ALWAYS be better. Shorter=less area to pressurize=less lag.

Top of the google search (ef intercooler pipes):

Forced Induction - EF Boosted bays/ Intercooler pipe routing pictures please? - I am trying to figure out how I want to route my I/C piping. And this should help me get some ideas. If anyone has some advice feel free to throw it in. I was thinking of making a B/D I/C and having it come out the sides of the rad area.
