LS have shitty rod bolts and when boosted and reved tend to strech and spin berings al reason why every stock LS/vtec motor sucks balls
sohc stock boost love to bent and break rods becaus they where not built for that much presser. same with LS
b16 and gsr bit better with the power is tossed at it but still was never ment for it and wont hold.
you will have asweet car for half the summer then i will sping a bering or throw a rod and you will be down a car for the rest of the summer, when all you had to do was spend ruffly 1k buck to put together a nice strong bottom end that done right will hald together for a very long time.
currenty have a gsr with forged internals head studs and aftermaket intake manifold on 7 to 8 psi made 375 and has been on the street daily drivein for well over 10k miles 3 years no issues at all and did not break the bank. on more boost will make more and be a very happy street killer.
and that with the ebay turbos every one says sucks ass also. with a good quility coreyR maniold.
you can have lost of fun stock motor turbo but rember you never know when it will pop and it mos likely will in that one race you really want to win.RIP Nick

Idk what my car is pushing now for hp.. So i can't say a number cause idk what would be reasonable or not to try and push for hp wise.

Honestly I wouldn't recommend turbo'ing your car till you look into it more. Because from this thread it doesn't seem like you know too much.Money ain't a thing! Crew Member #1

ARP rod bolts and head studs. My hatch made 400hp on a stock LS/VTEC with ARP hardware for two years driven daily until the kid I sold it to ran it out of oil. Before that my bone stock B16 made 368 until I pulled it apart and built it with expensive shit. About 6k miles after building it a wristpin spiral lock cracked in half and allowed the wrist pin to gouge out the cylinder wall causing massive blow by and blew all the oil out of the catch can, end of motor. It can be done and has been done for years. Just have to have a complete understanding of what your doing or pray the guy your paying does.
