i kno i have asked before but i wanted to start a fresh thread on this seeing i know more about this stuff now...i have a 99 si with the stock b16a2. i put a commetic head gasket in, not the thicker one cause they did'nt have the it in stock when i needed it, Golden eagle head studs. act modified street disc with a heavy duty pressure plate. NGK iridium stage 2 colder plugs. NGK wires. Peakboost kit with a garret t3/t4 .60 trim turbo. im running an EC-Tuning package and having Elm City Customs tune it. i picked a boost controller up from my friend recently and plan on running 10psi. i am wondering do people think this will be reliable, or maybe if i should have it tuned for 8psi instead. i know it will make power no matter what but i would really like to know what people have to say about this. thank you very much.

Get it on a dyno with the tuner and see if the 2 pounds will actually do you any good. You may find that less boost will give you equal benefits of higher psi. From there you can make an educated decision if you want the extra 2psi or not, in general the lower amount of boost the more reliable (even with a good tune) and when I say reliable I mean there is less stress on everything and the engine may go for 5 years vs. 7 years or 100,000 miles vs. 60,000 miles...My work: Flikr.

You can be as reliable on more boost as low. IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE TUNE BUDDY. A shitty tune will kill your motor vs a great Dave tune.My turbo is louder then yours!!!
