check the wiring on the back of the tach. Autometers have a certain wire combination, depending on wether it's a 4cyl, 6cyl, or 8cyl. But why have a autometer tach if you have a stock one?

idk its jdm?? lol na thats how i bought it from the guy who cut the springs and glued honda emblems to the dash, he disconnected the stock one for the autometer so i went and connected both, and what im saying is that at redline my stock tach reads 5500 and the 5 inch reads 6500

Sounds like you wired that tach wrong. Recheck your wire, im pretty sure you connected it wrong!
