  • cat question,

    but does the cat on a civic bolt off idk the year but i think its a 96 its my moms friends and i have no idea. or is it like welded at all?

      its not under the car its right under your exhaust manifold looking in under the hood

          alright now that i found out its a 95 civic ex. all stock.
          so the cat should bolt of then, and its easy to replace?

            There is a cat on the exhaust manifold...then there is a can that is bolted on after the flex

              what he said, its integrated into the exhaust manifold, theres no unbolting it. you replaced the exhaust manifold with cat. get ready to break the bank on that one.

                He said it's a 95 now. So the cat would be right after the exhaust manifold before the mid pipe. It's bolt on and replacable, but it''s prolly gonna be a *************** because the bolts are normally rusted out, and strip easily.

                      honestly f uck a cat take that shyt off and put a resnator or wat ever u call it. emissions dont even look anymore.

                        well if you eliminate the cat on a obd2 car it will throw a 0420 catalyst threshold below effeciency code. but of course theres a couple ways around that.

                          All Civic Catalytic Converters are bolted to the exhaust system under the Car, between the Downpipe & B-Pipe/Mid pipe, except for the CRX HF, 92-95 Civic CX & All 96+ DelSol/Civic's (Except EX, & Si)

                          You guys keep talking about the Exhaust Manifold/Catalytic Converters.

                            pretty sure my bro in law em2 that you put the header on had cat under the car .. and y7 del sols add to the list
