auto to manual conversion.. key gets stuck..

  • auto to manual conversion.. key gets stuck..

    so i just did an auto to manual conversion and now the key is stuck in the ignition.... anyone know y???? any info would help... dont want the car to sleep with the key in it..

    Are you using a Auto. ECU?

    Pretty sure you have to jump the Park/Neutral switch in the Center console, Auto shifter wiring. You basically need to make the car think that it's always in park.

      what wires is that and yes we still using the auto ecu..

        try a manual ecu if u can
        theres no replacment for boost:)

          I'm not sure ehich wires exactly, I would need an ETM to look at, so I could tell you which wires.

          Like "lsvtecrex" said, If you have a Manual ECU for the car, then just use that, & problem will be solved.

          So either jump the Wires or change ECU's. PM me tomorrow, if you still have not found out which wires.

            I did 2 things... Jumped the park and neutral wires and the ignition itself had a lil box which i guessed it was for the lock in the ignition and everything is working now... Thanks for the help... I would of never thought bout jumpin the wires....
