NEED INFO: 1.6 EL/Domani Trunk Conversion

Ok so i purchased a acura 1.6 EL/ Domani Trunk Lid With Lights.

I know its a direct bolt on to my 99 civic LX.

What I do want to know is if there is any wiring issues i will run into?

The Domani trunk has a pig tail for the trunk harnes.. Can I use my 99 civic LX harness or must i cut and splice my stock harness to the pigtail?

I've already done research and have come up with nothing.

If anyone can direct me to a DIY link or any source of information it will be greatly appreciated!!!

I assumed the same. But didn't want to run into an issue so i figured i would ask first. I will be installing it sometime this weekend after it gets painted so i will update if I run into any complications...

Still i would like to see a DIY or hear from someone who has done this conversion before..

got my trunk painted and installed it today...


the harness is not plug and play.... i had to use the pigtail the domani/ EL trunk came with and wire it up.

So far everything works EXCEPT the trunk brake lights and rear turn signals!!

can someone please help me search for a diagram for a domani/ EL trunk on a 99-00 civic or a domani/ EL trunk wiring diagram

Test light an a little battery if u dont find the diagram

after some tinkering around i figured out how to get the turn signals to work i had to jump 2 wire on the tail light harness to one on body harness. same for both sides..

the brake light was making me hell of frustrated so i just wired it in to my 34rd brake light in the rear windshield

figured out the wiring about a month or so ago.
