juni check the heater control valve part of the heat dre's ep3 had the same problem till i started to look under the hood and found the cable disconnected. coolant system is pretty much basic heater control valve - heater core -thermostast - make sure the coolant system is well blead. and chech the cold and hot selector inside make sure the cable didnt come loose there cause it will slide in between and you wont get good heat.. if not bring it over this weekend come over with manny and we could work on it over here.

no its not a heater control valve. if its weak blower speed its more than likely the blower motor resistor or a bad ground to the resistor.. changing the blower motor was a waste of money.

it wasnt a waste of money if it was free, and its not blowing weak from the blower motor it is blowing weak through the vents the blower motor is fine.

                yes, i understand your problem.

free maybe. waste of time? yes.

the resistor is actually 3 resistors, and a thermal cutout. if the thermal cutout burned out you would probably still have high on your fan, but it would feel like 2 or 3, or maybe even 1. the purpose of this is to disconnect the motor, protecting it from fire if the rotor stalls. if the resistors burned out you should be able to see the problem because they are coils of wire. use an ohmeter to check it. the resistance should be low, around less than 1 ohm. if its high, replace the resistor assembly.

you could keep throwing free parts at it, and hoping it works. or maybe you could take the correct diagnostic procedures and now how to fix it then you will have good heat. just trying to make your life easier.

yes i may come across as an *********************, but i am trying to help you.

now, moving on. i told you, its a part of a piece called a 'blower motor resistor'. get that. but you should really test it before getting it, or getting anything for that matter. i dont like to play guessing games with cars. if i say a car needs something, thats what it needs.

but if i was to go by what sounds good, id bet your resistor is bad.

its to the left of the blower motor, held in with 2 phillips head screws in the hvac system with a 2 pin connector. ground should be a thick blue wire probably.
