  • 99 hatch leaking water pass. floor

Hey guys yesterday I noticed water pooling on the front passenger floor of my 99 dx hatch. Been researching all day and ripping apart the interior of the car and cannot find the source of the leak. Just wondering if anyone else had this issue and what it was from. Any advice/suggestions are appreciated

Well i poured a bucket of water over the car and didnt see any more water enter the car. Not sure of where its coming from, maybe the windshield isnt sealed tight? Seems like the front/firewall area is dryer than the rest of the area so guessing the a/c condensation issue is not the problem, but idk

might be your heater core is leaking.check your coolant level.make sure its water and not coolant

i know you got a ek but my eg hatch was leaking in the cowl where theres the open vent above where the blower motor is, and theres a seam and mine was leaking through there, i had to jbweld it and never leaked since.

and mind you every time it rained my passenger front floor looked like a pond, 2 inches of water

I had this problem before it was leaking at the top corner of the windsheild and leaking down the pillar onto the floor.

I had the same problem and this was also the area it was leaking from. Why I did was pulled my a pillar covers off. And waited till it rained and parked it outside and watched where it was coming in from.

So the water is coming in from behind/above the ecu. Still not sure where it is entering the car though. Getting pissed lol. anyone else have advice?

Dont think thats it because its leaking on from where the ecu is located. Drips down right behind it

Alex you were right. Took that pillar cover off and sprayed the hose on it and sure enough saw the water leaking in. What did u do to seal it? just squirt some sealer underneath the weatherstripping in the top corner?
