99 civic ex ( need help )

i just bought a 99 civic ex 5 speed that is a stolen recovery they took the engine,tranny,wirring and computer.

my question is i bought at crashed 96-98 civic ex speed with a b18b swap in it and i want to put it into the 99 ek but i heard i cant use that wirrring harness does know what can i do or if iwas told wrong or anything thanks

You are better off using a harness from a 99-00 civic instead BuT you can still use that harness as well. Your rpm won't work but u can wire it up to work,your check engine light will always stay on and u will not pass emissions,reverse lights wont work and your fan won't turn on by itself but u can wire that your self to work as well. Speedometer won't work but all u have to do is flip two wires around on the green plug from the harness.that's basically it lol. I ran a 96 civic with a 00 civic Si harness for over a year .emissions was my only concern.

No the harness won't work.you can use the ecu .well depending on the year of the ecu. You will most likely require a jumper harness which is around $25-$30 shipped on eBay.

so basically im stuck then i gotta find the 99-00 ex harness? can it be lx,dx?

Yes u can use a Lx,Dx .u will just have to extend a few wires here and there. That's all

how bout the distributer wires will it plug rite in? and what computer should i use 99-00 civic?

one more thing i heard somthing bout a obd2a and obd2b wirharness that i would have to get the obd2b wiring harness whats the difference and why obd2b?
