• Blown bearings

Found out today that I have blown bearings, awesome right?
Now..should I buy new ones and put them in or just go with a new motor?

Alot of times there are other things wrong that lead upto bearing failure.

But the ulitmate deciding factor would be, what motor?

GSR or something alike=yes

Single cam= no

I went about a week and a half with my oil light on meaning I was running low on oil and never paid attention to it. bad idea. and it was about time to get an oil change
2 days ago went on the highway and my car started having this really weird smell then the engine was knocking. Put in 4 bottles of oil started running good but now it makes a grinding noise and when ever the rpms get low or the car stops it stalls. And its auto.
Went to firestone today and they confirmed it was my bearings and its a single cam.

for next time-

When the oil light comes on, its already too late. That light is not telling you its low on oil, its telling you it has low oil pressure.

buy a new motor and check your oil.

What car was it?

I just got into the honda game so everything you said makes half sense to me lol. someone told me though if it is my bearings and depending on how bad it is i would need a new block. i think ima just go wit a new engine.

i would take it somewhere to get checked again but idk how long my motor will last. could be 2 months could be 2 days and that is a risk i am not willing to take lol

if ur bearing r gone the crank most likly is gone that mean the bearing that sliped or siezed is eating up ur crank and the only way to check ur crank is for u to take it out and bring the crank itself to a machine shop.. just get a knew block or motor i found one for 200 on craigslist and i found one on ctv for 150 anyway good luck with ur car
