Dome light issue

Cars a 97 civic ex

so when i open my door my dome light doesnt come on at all. checked the fuse and the light bulb, the light does come on when it switched to on but not to door. i do have an aftermarket raido, i found this on a nother site. http://www.hondacivicforum.com/forum...0-civic-81992/ but im not sure if it will work because i have an after market alarm(keyless entery) and said it wont work with keyless. anything will help thanks

Is the switch in the door jam?

i checked all of them and they are both fine. im not sure if i want to do the jumper thing in that link in case it fucks something up.

Do what the link says. The stock alarm goes basically goes in the stock radio. Most ppl take it off so u have to do that loop for your light to work

If you call Honda they will even tell you what you need to jump because it happens to all of them with aftermarket stereos

check the contact on the door jam,sand down the contact because the screw is the ground and if thats rusted its not makin a good connection/contact

if the wires aren't jumped having a good ground won't help anything
