According to CT State law, White (4.3k) and Yellow (3k) are considered LEGAL. If a cop should pull you over for anything blue, (6k,8k,10k,12k) the law basically states the light must show more white than blue.

So If a cop puts a white sheet of paper infront of your headlights, it should not show dark blue. 6k is where its at.

But at the same time, my girl has been driving all over CT,MA,RI,NY,NJ,NH with 30k Pink on her Scion and only got stopped once in 2 years in Springfield,MA.

Ur right nd wrong at the same time cause my buddy went on line printed all that info out with the state statue #'s nd this one cop pulled him over twice for yellow headlights nd gave him w ticket nd put up a diff law on the ticket Idk its all about how the cop is feeling

^^ .... Cause he had them in the headlight, 3k/yellow/orange/amber it's only allowed in the fog lights or/and turn signals.

4300k or 5k is where it's at. Fuck blue, purple, pink, red, green, yellow. I like straight white like a oem on a tl or audi. I've never been stopped for my hids in 5 years, but i've never had anything over 8k. In my ef I had 8k in my low beams, 6k in my high beams, and 6k in my bumper lenses. And it looked oem lol.

The highest K I had om my car/s was 12k and it was only like 2 hours, lol. Then 8k on the Galant, 6k on the Civic and now 6k on the Impala (but about to get 5k, soon).

wrd. 5k is the best imo. Im not into the blu and shit. I just like a oem look. And like to be able to see better so I go with 5k. A lot of people think the crazier the color/higher the K the brighter. But innttt to that! lol
