  • 1.5 Honda Powered Dune Buggy??

    hey, I just picked up a dune buggy yesterday for 100 and I'm lookin to put a 1.5 minime in it...just seein if anyone out there has done anything like this/ anyone know what I need for wiring... would I just need the part of the harness for the ecu and the engine harness or would I need the whole thing??

    wow sounds like a cool project i would like to see that when it's done you should be hearing from some of the guys on this subject so check in every so often g/l bro

        we've already thought of this ... to try nd keep everything in the center try to use the 2 pass. axles .. keep the wheelbase short :) were u at i'd love to try nd help i wanna do this 2

          well, it's going to be a long process over the winter....i'm from the groton area.. It is a V-dub chassis...I was going to weld honda hubs right to the V-dub spindles, i'm still in the stage where I dont know what to do with it yet..I got a subaru motor and tranny that will bolt in but I want something original.. What about instead of an ignition.

          Could I just use a push button start, because i'm not going to have a dash or anything... just oil press, oil temp, rpm, and water temp?? and yeah ANY HELP is appreciated, thanks a lot guys.

          oh yeah I can only get to a computer like once or twice a day but I'll try to check as much as I can

                        some sort of lever thing that'll get it to pivot.. kinda like 2 L's maybe

                        do u have a vw linkage?? hows that go into the vw tranny from the front or back?

                          can u get more pics of like the whole back .. were motor nd tranny are supposed to go ?? i got a comp. motor if u need i'll sell real cheap 4 this...

                          second thought dual point intake nd carb... should make it easier if thats possible

                            i beleve that the vw linkage are cables like the k series hondas
