fuel smell???

    Well considering you have a straight pipe (no cat) you're not burning off the excess fuel that wasn't burnt off in the cylinders so that could be the gas smell. Or maybe because your car is gutted? Also check that the tip of the exhaust is past the bottom of your bumper or isn't leaking from anywhere. My friend had a muffler on his accord and the tip was just inside the lip of the back bumper and his whole car filled with fumes.

      It has a leak at the flange that connects to the axel back

        That could be how its getting into the cab. And because you have no cat its going to be a strong gas smell. Try and fix that first I bet it will stop.
