    96 corolla 1.8

    so i snap the timing belt wen i wuz flagin race Ekcoupe97 vs carmellito yellow hatch car die on me i look and the belt wuz brock off do any1 nows is this motor hit valve wen belts snaps off?

    this wuz so bad we the no even got to races lol fail.. day. then my boy hatch wuz givin problens 2 lol super fail


    anyway any hlp would be good i went to flag on my mom rolla need to find out fast of no im motor swapin lol

          from what i understand it is a non interferrance engine. I have had a timing belt snap on me while drive on a interferrance engne. And I put a new belt and had no problems.

                na i went to flag a race wen on my mom rolla to not make it hotbox my boy Ekcoupe97 and carmelo yellow hatch wuz runin it i should of went on my hatch lol

                  yeah ur best bet is to get a timing belt and try it anyways if u know wht ur doing it should be a no brainer and the tming belt itself is cheap and then ull know wether you bent something or not

                    i think its good i had a geo prizm which is the same car and i had the lsi with the 1.8 dually....as far as i recall its a non interference motor....also how much did u try to start it after it first cut off? that is important and would be the cause of damge if any
