  • 2000 dx civic Wiring issue.

This could be something stupid, but i cant find the problem.

    1. my brake lights on my hatch wont werk, the turn signals and parking lights work fine. but when i hit the brake the lights wont turn on.

I heard about the brake pedal switch but i doubt thats the problem, what else could be wrong? i checked every single fuse in the car and nothing. could it just be the bulbs? or a short in the interior harness?

    2. my hazard lights recently stopped working, but my signal lights work perfect, but hazard lights wont work. i also checked fuses and nothing. can someone please help out. thanx.

car is a 2000 honda civic hatch.

check the fuse for the interior gauge cluster lighting. i believe they're connected. so, if the cluster backlights aren't working, the brake lights aren't working.

another thing to check (and not sure if hondas have this), is there a main fuse for the car? likely located in the fuse box under the hood. probably like an 80A fuse? check that out too if there is...

If not your bulbs then its your brake switch... dont assume its not that .. test it first
